We offer three sizes for proper fit and buoyancy. (So the strap between a child’s legs doesn’t have to be too tight.) All fins fold flat against the back, naturally, so a child can sit comfortably in a boat seat or chair.
Swim assist vest buoyancy technology
By scientifically adjusting the size and location of our flotation panels (compared to other vests) we’ve successfully balanced a child's center of buoyancy. This means kids don't tend to tip forward, head first into the water. They have greater control and stability when swimming in various positions.
LIFE JACKETS
Sea Squirts Life Jackets have a sturdy, grab-me fin and durable neoprene outer with tech fabric liner.
They’re nice and comfy against the skin. Easy to zip and clip. Shipshape enough to qualify as a ski vest or wake-boarding vest and U.S. Coast Guard certified as a United Type III Personal Flotation Device.
In short, they’re built from top to bottom so kids can float happily through childhood.
SWIM ASSIST VESTS
Sea Squirts Swim Assist Vests are an amazing swim teaching aid, warmth layer and dress-up toy all in one. They’re designed to adjust from maximum to minimum buoyancy to suit your little fish’s swimming ability. This makes learning to swim a whole lot more fun — because kids think they’re playing shark or whale, not practicing, and can learn at their own pace.
You control the buoyancy with three removable flotation panels that can be taken out through a Velcro opening in the back. (The child doesn’t even have to know.) For advanced young swimmers, all panels can come out to make a favorite costume for the pool, beach or bathtub.
Please note: Flotation panels should always be checked prior to use. Number of flotation panels should match a child’s swimming abilities.
